Commissioning of PC-based Controller

The client had a non-working packaging machine with PC-based controller, and a proprietary operator interface software written in C++. Two servo motors and drives were also involved. The controller required programming changes, and the C++ software had to be decompiled since no source code was available. I was able to identify the addresses used by the C++ software in order to correctly modify the controller software. The end result was the non-functioning machine is now in full-time production.
